Thousands of American college students have rallied once again in pursuit of Jesus Christ, with hundreds saying “Yes” to the Gospel in a campus outreach at Oklahoma State University (OSU).
CBN News reports it’s more evidence of a spiritual awakening among the nation’s students as the UniteUS ministry reaches for the next generation with the message of salvation.
Tonya Prewett, the founder of UniteUS, posted: “5,500 students gathered at Oklahoma State University to lift up the name of Jesus.”
“Hundreds stood and made a decision to go all in with Jesus, and later came forward to worship and receive prayer.”
“We are amazed by the number of students who experienced freedom and healing.”
“God is moving on college campuses!”
MORE THAN 50 STUDENTS SPONTANEOUSLY GET BAPTISED
The event was led by speakers including Tonya Prewett, Jeanine Ward, Jonathan Pokluda and Jennie Allen.
It featured worship music from Elevation Rhythm, a Christian music collective from Elevation Church.
By the end of the night, 54 students took their decision to the next level, declaring through spontaneous public baptisms that they’re followers of Jesus.

Many students also posted about their faith in online comments following the outreach:
“Tonight at Unite my life was changed by Jesus yet again. He met me where I was and truly moved in ways I didn’t know I needed!” – Addy Dalke.
“The seeds of revival were planted in the hearts and souls of students tonight!” – Brad Farnsworth.
PASTORS POSTS WHAT HE WITNESSED
A pastor using the name bravepastorjeff posted:
Hundreds of students flooded the altar at Oklahoma State University last night.
This was part of @unite_us and the movement God is doing through them.
There is no denying that God is moving in the next generation and especially Gen Z young men.
But why is God marking this generation?
They grew up in chaos—pandemic, anxiety, identity confusion.
THEY WANT RAW WORSHIP: HONESTY. REPENTANCE. REVIVAL.”
The pastor continued:
Now there’s a rising hunger for something real. Not hype. Not noise. Truth. The truth of the Word of God.
Isolation pushed them to search for belonging. Something beyond the digital.
And for many, they’re finding it in faith & in the church.
They are choosing to attend church. Churches that boldly proclaim the truth.
They don’t want polished religion. There don’t want spiritual hospice care.
They want raw worship. Honesty. Repentance. Revival.
MINISTER EXCITED TO SEE ORGANISING TEAMS WORKING TOGETHER INSTEAD OF IN SILOS
UniteOSU partnered with multiple campus ministries to plan the night and get a sense of what OSU students needed spiritually and emotionally.
One of those ministries was The Narrative where campus minister Gavin Greenwood said he was excited to see groups work together instead of in silos.
“I think there’s been a shift to see different ministries and churches kind of unite on different levels,” he said.
“I think we already see that with our ministries during Holy Week and stuff at OSU.”
“So I think this is just another great opportunity to maybe even bring in some people that aren’t involved in the ministry.”
STUDENTS SAY THE TIMING JUST BEFORE FINALS EXAMS REALLY MATTERED
The timing, students said, mattered.
Finals exams are around the corner, dorm move-outs and graduation are looming, and stress is high.
“I think it’s really great to have a space where all of us are coming together to worship the Lord and (have) a good reminder for all the distractions that are happening this week,” aviation major Tate Dodson said.
“I think it’s very good to come together and worship the almighty Jesus Christ.”
Another student Carter Reed reflected: “My favourite part was just seeing the overwhelming number of people walk in the doors at the very beginning, and then really just feeling the Spirit move throughout the stadium tonight, during worship and stuff.”
COLLEGE MINISTRY HAS GROWN OVER PAST THREE YEARS
UniteUS began at Auburn University in Alabama in 2023 when a campus prayer gathering drew thousands of students and sparked a movement that quickly expanded to campuses across the nation.
In recent weeks, UniteUS has also conducted powerful outreach events at four universities in Florida, Pittsburgh and Alabama.
Its next event will take place this week in Columbus, Ohio, where high school students will gather for a night of worship.
